Shiny Hoppy Meeple is a board game community in East Belfast. We’re a friendly bunch who love games of all kinds — from quick card games to heavy strategy titles — and we always have room for new players.

When and where

We meet every Thursday from 7:30 to 11pm at Boundary Taproom in East Belfast.

We're Heading to Tabletop Scotland

Ten of us from Shiny Hoppy Meeple are making the trip to Tabletop Scotland this year — our biggest group outing yet.

Tabletop Scotland is a board game, card game, and roleplaying game convention held at the Royal Highland Centre, running 4th–6th September 2026.

What’s on

The convention has something for everyone — open play with thousands of seats, tournaments, RPG sessions, seminars, a bring-and-buy, a games library to try before you buy, and a playtest zone for games in development. There’s also a strong exhibitor presence across all three days.

Founders

Adam and Phil started Shiny Hoppy Meeple with a shared love of board games and a local taproom. What began as a small gathering on a Thursday night has grown into the community it is today.
